Active Event Ideas

Hit the Ground Running

Whether it’s a 1K walk, 10K run, marathon or your own distance, set a target and start fundraising. How about challenging your friends and family to cover a distance of 5k per week for a month and asking for donations toward your active challenge in support of Operation Smile Canada?

Did you know? In some countries, children and their families have to travel days to reach our surgical sites.


Join an Existing Event

Join an athletic event such as a colour run, Tough-Mudder, Spartan Race, or other race or event already planned in your community. Register for the community event, create a personal fundraising page on the mySMILE fundraising website, and ask your friends and family to support your efforts by donating to your page.


'Smile'-a-thons

Choose your activity and make it a fundraiser by adding ‘a-thon’. Host a spin-a-thon, dance-a-thon or hockey-a-thon. Ask participants to create a fundraising page. The more funds raised, the longer they participate in the chosen activity!
